In recent years, fishing tourism has been experiencing great growth throughout the world, and Greece with its beautiful islands could not have missed this growth.
Combining fishing with your vacation, you will have unique experiences that will remain unforgettable for all your life.
Amorgos is an amazing island, ideal for fishing trips and sea experiences during your summer holidays.
Amorgos Fishing Trips
Yannis is the captain of the boat and experienced fisherman. Amorgos is the island where he was born and grew up, and in this place his father brought him into the secrets of fishing since his childhood.
He will welcome you to his boat and show you a day from the life of a traditional fisherman in the Cyclades and their blue waters. You will be able to choose between different types of fishing like nets, longline, handline and pole.
Through his love of fishing, Yannis will teach you whatever technique you desire, so that you can live an impressive experience that will remain unforgettable to you.
The boat of Yannis has all the equipment and everything else you need in order to feel comfortable and enjoy your fishing trip.
Our fishing trips take place with “KAPETAN NIKITAS”, our traditional boat, which has all the required specifications for a safe and enjoyable fishing.
It is built in 2012 and has a capacity of up to 10 people. Its length is 9.90 m and is made of reinforced polyester.
Features toilet, kitchen, modern navigation equipment and all safety certificates. It is insured for civil liability and marine pollution.
What We Do
Our fishing experience starts at 10 am from the port of Katapola or from other places of the island (Nikouria, Kalotaritissa), depending on the weather.
After a short ride, we will get to the point where the captain has chosen and we will enjoy the unique fishing experience. Do not forget that fishing is always unpredictable, because it is not just a matter of experience, but also luck!
After the end of fishing, Yannis will anchor at a sheltered spot where we can enjoy swimming in the waters of endless blue, as he prepares the meal.
The menu includes salads, traditional kakavia (fish soup) or grilled fishes or fried fishes (depending on what we have caught), amorgian fava, bread, wine or soft drinks and fruits. All products are of local origin and organic farming. After lunch, we will be ready to return to the departure point at 15.00.
